Exam Guides for Parents
Plain-language guides to every major exam for Class 6–8 students — what it is, who should attempt it, the syllabus mapped to NCERT chapters, and how to prepare without buying extra books.
Which exam should my child attempt?
| Your child is in… | Attempt this year | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Class 6 | Tallentex + Science & Maths Olympiads (experience mode) | First taste of a real exam hall with zero downside — no rank pressure, pure experience. JNVST Class 6 entry has already passed; note Class 9 entry later. |
| Class 7 | Tallentex (seriously) + Olympiads | The biggest Tallentex cohort. Structured prep this year builds the base for everything after. |
| Class 8 | Tallentex + NMMS (govt/aided schools) + Olympiads + JNVST Class 9 entry | The richest exam year: NMMS pays ₹12,000/year for four years, and JNV lateral entry is a real chance at a free residential school. |
